Is Team Teach a professional qualification?

Not in the usual sense. Team Teach is certificated training, not a professional qualification like a teaching or nursing qualification. Staff who complete a course and pass get an electronic certificate, and Team Teach says its courses are accredited by the CPD Certification Service and certified by BILD ACT against the Restraint Reduction Network Training Standards.

The certificate doesn't last for ever. Team Teach says Level One and Level Two certificates expire after 12 months, so staff need to reaccredit every year to stay in date.

That matters more than the label. The DfE doesn't require any particular provider or qualification (see is Team Teach a legal requirement?), but it does expect staff who may need to use force to be adequately trained. An out-of-date certificate is hard to defend if an incident is ever questioned. Whoever you train with, keep a clear record of who is in date and when their refresher is due.
