As a high-value economic zone and potential target for crime and terrorism, the estate requires security teams capable of responding to a wide range of threats. Prior training had lacked consistency and accreditation, failing to reflect the scale and complexity of Canary Wharf’s environment.

Since 2002, Stand2 has delivered a bespoke, accredited Advanced Conflict Management & Physical Intervention programme to Canary Wharf’s security teams. In 2008, the programme was expanded, allowing advanced development of communication, de-escalation, safe physical intervention, and situational awareness skills. Training incorporated real-world scenarios drawn from estate-specific incidents, reinforcing operational standards. Complementary e-learning modules supported long-term competence, minimising skills fade and maintaining consistency between practical sessions.
