Freelance National - UK Wide Competitive Day Rate — details on application

Specialist Trainer – Associate

About Stand2

Stand2 is a specialist training provider with over 25 years of continuous delivery across some of the UK’s most demanding frontline environments – NHS trusts, ambulance services, probation, local authorities, and high-profile corporate and security operations.

Our training is AIM accredited, independently medically reviewed, and built to hold up under regulatory scrutiny. We work with organisations that take staff safety seriously – and we only work with trainers who do too.

The opportunity

We’re looking to expand our associate trainer network with experienced, credible professionals who can deliver Stand2 programmes to the standard our clients expect.

This is a freelance associate role – you work when it suits you, we provide the programmes, the clients, and the framework. What you bring is the operational background, the instructional ability, and the professional standards that make Stand2 worth commissioning.

What you’ll be delivering

Programmes spanning conflict management, personal safety, physical intervention, and lone worker safety – delivered in person to organisations across the UK. Full programme induction and ongoing quality assurance are provided.

What we’re looking for

We are selective about who delivers under the Stand2 name. The right candidate will have:

  • A genuine operational background in policing, military, healthcare, security, or a relevant frontline environment – not just a training qualification
  • Demonstrable experience delivering physical intervention or conflict management (or similar) training to professional audiences
  • A Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent – or working towards it
  • A current first aid qualification
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable, well-maintained vehicle
  • Willing to travel nationally and stay overnight where required
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 including Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • DBS check required — we will support the application process
  • The professionalism, communication skills, and personal standards that Stand2’s clients expect

What you can expect from us

  • A competitive day rate – details on application
  • Programmes you can be proud to deliver – accredited, medically reviewed, and built to the highest professional standards
  • Long-term relationships – we work with clients who stay, which means consistent, meaningful work rather than one-off engagements
  • A small, experienced team that values quality over volume
  • Clear induction into Stand2 programmes and ongoing support

Travel and expenses

Stand2 delivers training nationally. You’ll need to be willing to travel across the UK and occasionally stay overnight where the distance or schedule requires it. Mileage, rail fare (where applicable), accommodation, and all other reasonable expenses are covered.

A note on fit

We don’t advertise often because we don’t recruit often. We’re looking for people who can fit in with our team and represent Stand2 with the same credibility and professionalism that has kept our clients returning for over two decades. If that sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you.

To apply

Send a brief covering note and your CV to [email protected]. Tell us about your operational background, your training experience, and why Stand2 is the right fit for you.
