Modern Slavery Statement
a. Organisation Structure, Business and Supply Chains
Stand2 is a UK-based training provider delivering conflict management, personal safety, and physical intervention training to organisations across the UK. We operate solely within the UK and maintain a small, specialised team supported by a network of trusted affiliate trainers. Our supply chain is limited and primarily consists of employed and freelance training professionals and occasional venue providers.
b. Policies in Relation to Slavery and Human Trafficking
Although Stand2 is not legally required to publish a Modern Slavery Statement under Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we are committed to ethical business practices and a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.
c. Due Diligence Processes
We conduct due diligence when engaging contractors and suppliers to ensure they are trustworthy and aligned with our values. This includes criminal record checks, document verification, and face-to-face meetings where appropriate. As our business grows, we are committed to strengthening these processes to ensure ethical practices throughout our supply chain.
d. Risk Assessment and Management
Given the nature of our business and the limited scope of our supply chain, the risk of modern slavery is considered low. Nonetheless, we remain vigilant and will continue to monitor for any signs of unethical practices. Any suspected activity would be thoroughly investigated and reported to the appropriate authorities. Stand2 takes a proactive stance on cooperation with authorities and sharing relevant information and evidence.
e. Effectiveness and Performance Indicators
We monitor the effectiveness of our approach through regular internal reviews and board-level discussions. We have formal reporting mechanisms in place that allow staff to raise concerns confidentially and without fear of retaliation.
f. Training and Capacity Building
While we do not currently provide formal training on modern slavery, we are committed to introducing basic awareness training for staff and contractors if required for contract award or as part of our ongoing development.
Commitment to Continuous Improvement
Stand2 is committed to maintaining high ethical standards and will continue to review and improve our practices to ensure modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or supply chain.
Carbon Reduction Plan
Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Stand2 is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2045, five years ahead of
the government target.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
Baseline year: 2024/25 (first reporting year)
Additional details relating to baseline emissions calculations: Stand2 is a fully remote company with no offices or company vehicles. All business travel is undertaken by trainers using personal vehicles or public transport. Home working emissions are included for all employees.
Baseline year emissions:
| EMISSIONS | Total (tCO2e) |
| Scope 1 | 0.00 |
| Scope 2 | 0.00 |
| Scope 3 | 12.34 |
| Scope 3 includes: | |
| Business travel by car | 11.96 |
| Business travel by train | 0.36 |
| Home working | 0.02 |
| Total Emissions | 12.34 |
Explanation for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions:
Stand2 reports zero (0.00) emissions for Scope 1 and Scope 2 because the company does not own or operate any buildings, facilities, or vehicles. All staff work remotely from home, and all business travel is undertaken using personal vehicles or public transport. Therefore, Stand2 has no direct emissions from owned or controlled sources (Scope 1) and no indirect emissions from purchased electricity, steam, heating, or cooling (Scope 2).

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
As a newly reporting business, Stand2 has not yet implemented formal carbon reduction initiatives. However, we have already taken steps to minimise our environmental impact by:
- Operating as a fully remote company, eliminating emissions from office energy use and commuting
- Using digital materials (PDF certificates, digital manuals, e-learning content) to reduce paper and printing
Future Carbon Reduction Initiatives
The following environmental management measures will be applied to all contracts Stand2 undertakes, including this and any future contracts: Stand2 is committed to further reducing its carbon footprint through the following planned initiatives. These measures will be applied when performing all contracts:
- Travel
- Reduce unnecessary travel by maximising remote meetings and training delivery via Microsoft Teams and other digital platforms
- Encourage use of public transport over car travel where feasible
- Consider introducing an employee salary sacrifice scheme for electric vehicles as the business grows
- Digitization
- Continue to digitize training content and administrative processes to minimise paper use
- Supplier Engagement
- Work with clients and suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability
- Offsetting
- Explore options for offsetting any unavoidable emissions in the future
