•01COURSE OVERVIEW
An immersive simulation module that puts Level 3 skills under real pressure – in environments that mirror the situations your staff actually face.
Learners apply communication, dynamic risk assessment, least restrictive practice, teamwork, and (where applicable) clinical holding or physical intervention – all within realistic conditions. The emphasis is on safe, ethical decision-making, role clarity, and consistent practice that stands up to audit, safeguarding, and legal scrutiny.
How this training helps your organisation
-
Converts Level 3 knowledge into reliable performance under pressure
-
Builds team coordination, role clarity, and consistent responses
-
Strengthens defensible decision-making in realistic conditions
-
Reduces errors linked to ambiguity, stress, or role confusion
-
Improves reporting quality and post-incident learning
-
Increases confidence and readiness before deployment
•03.RISKS ADDRESSED
Knowledge alone isn’t enough. Without realistic practice under pressure, your teams may not perform when it matters most.
The good news is that this is entirely preventable. That’s what this module is for.
Here’s what your staff will be able to do differently:
- 01 Describe how conflict management principles apply in dynamic, real-world situations.
- 02 Recognise behavioural, environmental, and situational cues that influence risk and decision-making.
- 03 Explain techniques for managing stress and reducing cognitive load
- 04 Explain how organisational policies and professional standards guide responses to conflict.
- 05 Explain and justify their actions.
- 06 Record and report critical incidents and near misses.
St George’s, University of London – Department of Paramedic Science
Stand2 collaborated with the St George’s University Department of Paramedic Science to design a combined package: Level 3 Advanced Conflict Management & Clinical Holding plus a Level 5 Scenario Based Training module. Working closely with faculty, we developed sector specific scenarios in an ambulance simulator, an open area simulating roadside activity, and in mocked up kitchen and bedroom environments.
Students practised structured communication, dynamic risk assessment, team coordination, and least restrictive clinical holding in lifelike conditions. This approach enabled learners to stress test decision-making, refine role clarity, and build confidence before frontline placements – bridging the gap between theory and practice safely and ethically.
Controlled, risk-assessed simulations – built around the environments and situations your staff actually face.
Delivery
This module is delivered in person through controlled, risk-assessed simulations built around your organisation’s specific environment, risks, and procedures. Facilitation includes structured pre-briefs, role clarity exercises, robust safety protocols, and structured debriefs. Every module is designed following a Training Needs Analysis to ensure scenarios are directly relevant to your operational context. StandPoint, our online learning platform, supports the module with additional resources and materials.
Assessment
Learning is assessed through observation, participation, scenario performance, and reflective contribution. Assessment focuses on how staff apply Level 3 principles in realistic, dynamic conditions – not on theoretical knowledge.
Certification
Every participant who successfully completes the module is formally certified by Stand2, receiving a uniquely numbered certificate that confirms they have met the module’s assessed standards. Each delegate is entered onto the Stand2 Training Register, which we maintain on your behalf – giving your organisation a clear, auditable record of who has completed the module.
Training environment
Psychological and physical safety are prioritised throughout. All practical elements are closely supervised and trauma-informed, with clear consent and opt-out options at every stage.
