Case study: Infinity SDC Ltd

Infinity SDC Ltd is the U.K.’s fastest growing data centre operator, responsible for an impressive portfolio of sites in prime locations in and around London. A key element of their services is security and as such Infinity requires a highly robust and effective deterrent against many forms of high level risk.

In 2012 Stand 2 was asked to develop a programme to train their staff to deal with a wide variety of conflict scenarios ranging from providing good customer service to the physical control of highly aggressive and motivated people who may pose a threat to the facilities. This includes the use of handcuffs and non physical deterrents. The security staff were initially trained in the (N.O.C.N accredited) two-day CARE Conflict Management and Physical Intervention programme). This proved a great success and more recently those same members of staff successfully completed their annual refresher training.
