ABOUT STAND2 (SPECIALIST TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT) LTD
Stand2 (Specialist Training & Development) Ltd was established in 1999, following a request to provide conflict management and personal safety training to a Midlands based hospital. This training was so well received that it was soon being delivered to all members of staff throughout the Trust and other trusts and universities throughout the West Midlands.
From this success and through our own research we produced the CARE System. This is a system of inter-linking theoretical models and practical skills which provide the user with a step by step solution for dealing with conflict management in the workplace. With this expertise and experience Stand2 has gone from strength to strength, designing and delivering specialist safety training to high profile clients throughout both the U.K. and abroad.
We have the advantage that we develop and deliver our own training based on our own extensive expertise rather than relying on other companies’ products. This expertise allows us to provide you with a bespoke and flexible programme, based on a proven model which can evolve with the needs of your organisation. The training can be delivered face to face by our expert and highly experienced team, online or through a blended approach which utilises the best of both. For larger companies the train the trainer may be the preferred model. Whatever the requirement, Stand2 can provide the most suitable and cost effective option.
Stand2 works in collaboration with NOCN (the leading awarding body within the security industry) to provide high quality specialist training and offer nationally recognised awards.

INDUSTRY STANDARDS
The training is fully compliant with the following industry standards:
NHS protect is a special health authority which has responsibility for all policy and operational matters relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of fraud and corruption and the management of security in the National Health Service. NHS protect also sets down the minimum standards for conflict management training within the NHS.
The Security Industry Authority is responsible for the management and licensing of the private security industry as set out in the Private Security Industry Act 2001.
They also aim to raise standards of professionalism and skills within the private security industry and to promote and spread best practice.
PRACTITIONER BASED QUALIFICATIONS
Whilst the practitioner based qualifications and experience of the team are too numerous to list, an indication of some of their individual achievements can be found on the instructors profiles. All the instructors are highly experienced and qualified across a range of sectors including the police, military, security, close protection and health/social care. It is that experience, together with the operationally proven CARE system which sets Stand2 apart from other training providers.
There is a well known quip that “those who can’t do… teach”. At Stand2 you can be confident that the person who is teaching you can both ‘do’ and ‘teach’ to the highest standard.

All of our trainers have completed the NOCN level 3 CARE programme instructors course and also hold a wide range of educational qualifications up to degree level. We always seek to match the trainers with the most relevant experience and qualifications to the clients’ needs.
