Handcuffing

Within the security industry the use of handcuffs is becoming more widespread, particularly as the industry is taking on more roles which were traditionally the preserve of the police or other public services. If used correctly handcuffs can allow you to control an aggressive and violent person more quickly, effectively and therefore safely.

However, as with any item of equipment it does need a relative skill level in order to use them safely and Stand2 have over 20 years experience of teaching handcuffing techniques and applying them operationally on a day to day basis.

This would normally be taught as the final element of the C.A.R.E. programme once attendees had demonstrated proficiency in conflict management, advanced physical intervention and ground control skills.
