TRAINING COURSES
The Conflict Management and Physical Intervention training programmes are all based on our unique and highly effective C.A.R.E. (Countering Aggression and Response to Emergencies) Programme, which will teach you to apply a logical and systematic approach to the management of conflict, aggression and violence. The training is principle rather than technique based and as such can be applied in any context, gives staff the freedom to adapt and is less prone to rapid skills fade.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION
These programmes are designed for staff who may have to deal with difficult and at times aggressive behaviour in a low risk environment. The focus is very much on the understanding of how the stress response will affect the behaviour of all concerned and applying strategies and tactics to successfully resolve conflict using the skills and techniques taught on the course.
CONFLICT MANAGEMENT & PERSONAL SAFETY
These programmes are designed for staff who may have to deal with difficult and at times aggressive behaviour in a medium to high risk environment. The course will cover avoidance strategies, conflict resolution, personal safety skills and teamork to safely and successfully resolve a critical situation in the workplace using the skills and techniques that delegates are taught on the course.
PHYSICAL INTERVENTION
These programmes are designed for staff who have completed the conflict management and personal safety training course and whose role may require them to physically manage aggression and violence. Delegates are taught to consider their full range of options and to consider physical intervention as a last resort. This is achieved using simple, instinctive responses. Delegates are also taught to carry out post incident procedures including the justification of their actions.
